Daily Journal Names William Shernoff, Ricardo Echeverria Top Plaintiff Attorneys in California
The Los Angeles Daily Journal named firm founder William Shernoff and name partner Ricardo Echeverria as Top Plaintiff Attorneys in California. The list, comprising only 30 plaintiff attorneys, recognized the most prominent attorneys in the state.
Known for being the “dean of insurance bad faith,” Mr. Shernoff has turned his attention to represent seniors being taken advantage of by senior annuities scams. Having established one of the few new torts in the 20th century, he is focused on protecting the most vulnerable of our citizens, seniors, whose hard work literally built this country as we know it today.
Over the last twelve months, Ricardo Echeverria successfully ended his term as president of CAALA and obtained two jury verdicts totaling $85 million. He obtained a $68 million jury verdict in Fresno Superior Court in a medical malpractice case involving a man left in a coma after heart surgery, a $17 million jury verdict in a case involving a man severely injured after a fork lift backed over him and led one of the largest trial lawyer associations in the country with nearly 4,000 members.
