Travis Corby Recognized as a Top Health Care Lawyer by the Daily Journal

Travis Corby has been selected as a 2023 Top Health Care Lawyer by the Daily Journal largely in part for his notable work as lead counsel in Elaine Courtney v. Health Net. 18STCV05327 (L.A. Sup. Ct., filed Nov. 16, 2018).

Since joining Shernoff Bidart Echeverria LLP in 2009 he has impressively secured millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements. Corby specializes in insurance bad faith, with more than a decade of experience, he also successfully handles cases involving health insurance delays and catastrophic personal litigation.

In Elaine Courtney v. Health Net, Corby represented a woman who alleged that Health Net’s negligence led to her addiction to opiate pain medication. A jury justifiably ordered Health Net to pay $14.42 million. 

Corby is an active participant in a multitude of professional associations, including the Insurance Bad Faith Trial Lawyers Association, Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California, American Association for Justice, American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and Beverly Hills Bar Association.
