Sacramento Bee Profiles $1.2 billion Lawsuit Against CalPERS

The Sacramento Bee ran a story on the $1.2 billion lawsuit against CalPERS where Shernoff Bidart Echeverria LLP and other law firms represent a class of over 100,000 people suing the retirement agency over having their policy premiums raised significantly. The long-term care policies they purchased were never supposed to have their premiums raised and some policy holders had their rates go up as much as 85% while they were living on fixed incomes.
