Ricardo Echeverria Elected to American College of Trial Lawyers
Membership of ACTL is only one percent of total lawyer population of California
March 12, 2014 – Claremont, CA – Ricardo Echeverria, name partner of Shernoff Bidart Echeverria LLP, was elected a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in March, 2014. Mr. Echeverria is now part of the one percent of total attorneys in California who belong to the ACTL.
Being elected a Fellow in the ACTL is the latest recognition Ricardo Echeverria has received. He’s also been named the 2010 Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, named a “Best Lawyer’ by the Best Lawyers in America for 2014, received an Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego in 2012 and was presented the 2011-2012 Jennifer Brooks Lawyer of the Year Award by the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.

Mr. Echeverria has successfully obtained a number of trial victories, including: a $25.7 million (net) jury verdict in a catastrophic personal injury case (Elkins v. Murchison); a $15 million jury verdict in a wrongful death case involving a mother of two killed in a hit-and-run accident (Paregien v Perez dba E&M Trucking); a $7.2 million unanimous jury verdict against an insurance company for its failure to settle a claim within policy limits on behalf of its insured in Minnesota Federal Court (George Martin Co. v. Royal Insurance); and, a $5.1 million jury verdict against an insurance company for low-balling victims of the October 2003 California Wildfires (Stone v. Fidelity National).
